Azure Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure team within a leading technology organisation. This team supports both agile product development and live production systems, working on high-availability, high-performance platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical problem-solving, contributing to team discussions, and delivering robust cloud infrastructure in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support Azure IaaS and PaaS environments

• Work on multi-tier Web/App/DB infrastructure

• Deploy and manage AKS and related platform services

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of production issues

• Contribute to infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell)

• Participate in a ticket-driven workflow using Jira

• Join an on-call rotation after probation (with allowance + time off in lieu)

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer

• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage)

• Experience with Azure PaaS services, ideally AKS

• Background in building/supporting production environments

• Hands-on scripting experience (PowerShell required)

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to clearly explain technical decisions and reasoning
